Love is in the air......

Love is in the Air
Oil on Gessobord
6" x 6"

Señor Gallo's feelings for Miss Chick have grown during their travels. I understand it has become a gran pasión. Poor Señor Gallo hasn't the courage to share his deepest feelings with her although his madly beating heart will not give him peace until he does. This Valentines Day will he finally take the leap or will his unrequited love continue to torment? If Miss Chick doesn't feel the same way, it could change their relationship forever. What's a passionate rooster to do?

I can't tell you how thrilled and honored I am to have the Traveling Chicken and her companions visit our humble home. She is quite honestly the most famous visitor we've ever had. Furthermore, I was not prepared for her charm. No wonder artists all over the world are inspired to paint her! As you can see I couldn't paint her just once.

Oil on Canvas Board

We had our second snow of the year while Miss Chicken was visiting. We were so excited I talked her into going outside to check it out. She wasn't too excited about the idea at first. She was very concerned she would catch a chill but I assured her that she and Senor Gallo could each borrow a scarf that would keep them toasty warm.

Señor Gallo got so excited he asked if we could go four wheeling in the snow with my husband's truck. Sadly, I had to inform him that Western Washingtonians really don't like to drive in the snow.

Thank you very much Miss Chicken, Señor Gallo and Momma for coming to visit and brightening up our dark winter days.

If you would like to see more of my work you can visit my blog here. All three paintings will be available to purchase in my DPW gallery here.

Most of all HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

    1. Thank you Karla! It was really a kick putting this together. I thought about making a hat too but decided between the hat and the scarf you probably wouldn't be able to see her at all. :))))
